BrowseBack Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Does BrowseBack reload my web history from the internet every time I launch it?
No. The history is loaded once the first time the program is launched. After that, BrowseBack saves all the pages you visit as you visit them.
When you first launch BrowseBack, you're asked how far back you want BrowseBack to go when loading your history. The further back in time you choose, the longer it will take BrowseBack to load in your history.
How do I search my web history's contents?
In the lower righthand corner of the BrowseBack interface, there is a search box. Enter the word(s) you want to search on, click "Enter" on your keyboard, and BrowseBack will display the thumbnails of all the pages that match your search. To restore the view of all your pages, click the "x" on the right in the search box.
How can I turn off the automatic PDF preview that swings into view on the right side of the BrowseBack display?
Follow these steps:
1) Launch the Terminal application from your Utilities folder (under Applications).
2) Copy and paste the following line into Terminal:
defaults write com.smileonmymac.browseback usecomposer false
3) Press return.
4) Quit both Terminal and BrowseBack, then relaunch BrowseBack.
