For me personally, I was able to increase my speed a lot by playing a game called "Letter Invaders." It was like Space Invaders, but instead of aliens, words would come down the screen and you had to type them in order to destroy them. Eventually I was at 75 WPM! Obviously taking a typing test over and over isn't going to improve my score. I use the Dvorak keyboard layout too, so it gives me an edge.
