About the Download

The download is a fully-operational free trial version of DiscLabel CD and DVD labeling software. It is identical to the purchased version, except that it stamps the text Demo on all printouts. The Demo stamp is removed from printouts once the product is purchased and the associated registration information is entered in the registration dialog.

DiscLabel 5.1 costs $35.95. The charge for upgrades from any DiscLabel purchased before August 1, 2007 is $15. If you purchased DiscLabel after August 1, 2007, you can upgrade to version 5.0 at no charge.

Note: Localized versions can be downloaded via the Download link above. French, German, Italian and Japanese localizations are contained in the same file as the English version.

Download Instructions

1. Click the download link and the download will typically commence. 
(If you don't see the download, select Downloads from the Window menu of your Web browser.)

2a. If you're using Safari with Open "Safe" files after downloading turned on, you'll find the DiscLabel application in your Downloads folder (under Leopard) or on your Desktop (under Tiger).
2b. Otherwise, you'll need to locate the DiscLabel 5.0.zip file in your Downloads folder (under Leopard) or on your Desktop (under Tiger). Double-click it to uncompress the DiscLabel application.

(Note: If you'd prefer to keep your old DiscLabel application, we recommend you rename it "DiscLabel 4".)

3. Move the new DiscLabel application from Downloads or Desktop to your Applications folder (select Go -> Applications in the Finder to get to your Applications folder).

LightScribe Driver
To use DiscLabel with LightScribe you need to be on OS X 10.4 and above, and may also need the latest driver from HP:
